Black-and-white week

This week I decided to wear nothing but black and white shirts that I got at the thrift store.

This one is a petite extra large Lee brand western shirt. I love the ruffle detail around the collar and the wrist. It's a little big but I think I'm going to get it tailored because I really like the pattern.

This shirt just screams 90s! This is a heavy shirt that I actually wore as a jacket over and all-black ensemble. I love all of the prints and I think I want to keep it.

In theory I love this shirt however it is really too big and because it doesn't have any structure it hangs in me. So I think I'm going to let this one go it is a really cute shirt just not on me :(

This is a 2X shirt from Avenue and there is no way this shirt is a 2X unless it shrunk! I absolutely love thus sweater because it's so versatile I can wear it in the spring with white capris or I can wear it in the winter. Definitely a keeper!

This is a cardigan I've had for a while it is  thrifted  but I really can't remember what how much I paid for it. It is one of those go to pieces that you can wear with so much, I am definitely keeping this one too.

Green Week

This post is soooo late but this week was so fun I had to share! St. Patrick's Day is one of my favorite holidays and I love green!

It is very important that you have a Irish Pub shirt, luckily I found this one at the thrift store for a quarter! I thought it would be the perfect nightshirt so that I would not get pinched in the morning.

St. Patrick's day is also my friend Brittnee's favorite holiday too so we both wore our green all week!
My kelly green sweater was thrifted for a quarter & my head scarf was from the $.99 store and my shoes were under $10 at Target!

Tuesday March 18th

Unintentionally Brit and I ended up wearing green and white stripes. My  sweater is by Chaps and it was thrifted for a quarter and my panda shoes were a birthday gift from a while back they are my favorite pair of Keds!

Wednesday March 19th

Another thrifted find, this black and green striped shirt was paired with black pants.

Thursday March 20th

First day of spring! Even though it didn't feel like spring I wore white pants with this crazy nautical blazer that I fell in love with! Both the blazer and the boat neck navy blue shirt was thrifted for a quarter each. The jeans are from Walmart & I wore the green shoes from Target again!

Friday March 21st

Still trying to make it feel like spring. Peacock Maxi dress from Ross worn with  a long brown cardigan from Avon and new sandals I got at the end of last summer at compass trading Company for $7.50.

Yellow Week

Monday March 10, 2014.

Still cold but I am determined to let the sun shine! It was raining so I got to wear my tiger raincoat and my brown boots but everything else was trifted!
Butter yellow Old Navy sweater $.25 and Walmart jeans $1.00.
I have no idea where I got these earrings but I love them and I am sure they were under a dollar.

Tuesday March 11, 2014

Do you like my nerdy blazer? I do and it was thrifted for $.25! I paired it with a yellow top from Old Navy and my favorite skinny jeans from NY&C & my knockoff Converse from Rue 21 for $3. I wore my Avon pearls I thought it looked cute with my preppy look.

Wednesday March 12, 2014

I love this jacket (I have three) they were on sale at Target for $6! So I wore them with my thrifted Stetson jeans and a white shirt from Mark.

More Avon Pearls and my handmade NKOTB shoes! One of my favorite DIY projects!

Thursday March 13, 2014

Love this mustard yellow sweater by Elle for Kohls. I basically got it for free with my $10 extra bucks and the pants are yoga pants from NY&C I wish I could find more because they are so comfy and no one can tell they are not dress pants so I wear them to work all the time!

The bag was thrifted for a quarter and my shoes are from Fallas I think I paid $6. Could they match any better?

Friday March 14, 2014

I had to wear a skirt at least once this week! I thrifted both the top and the skirt for $.25 each. The sweater is White Stag from Walmart at the skirt is Worthington from JCP. The shoes are Marona mary. janes from Target. I think I actually paid full price for them years ago.

I am so ready for spring!! Just wearing a bright color makes it feel warmer!

Khaki Week

This week I managed to take pictures of my OOTD but I didn't get a chance to do a daily blog so here is the week in a nutshell:

Monday: 3/3/14

I already started putting away some of my winter stuff since it is March in south Texas...but it got cold again!!! So I dug out my boots and decided to layer instead of getting out a heavy coat.
Both the thermal and sweater were thrifted for $.25! The thermal is from Charlotte Russe and the sweater is from Hanna.

I was so excited when I found this jacket at the thrift store for a quarter because is is from the line BITTEN that Sarah Jessica Parker had at Steve and Barry's. Unfortunaly it is way to big :( I wore it as a jacket but it was just too big in the sleaves and in the chest so I found it a good home!

Tuesday: 3/4/14

I finally got to wear the sweater my mom got me at Ross. I wore it with black skinny jeans and black boots.

Wednesday: 3/5/14

It was Ash Wenesday so I thought it was the perfect day to wear my $.25 cent cross patterned shirt.

It is gold, cream and navy blue so I paired it with dark wash skinny jeans and my target wedges.

It was still cold so I got to wear my moms cape! I am obsessed with capes so I am borrowing it till next winter.

Thursday 3/6/14

Still cold.... This cowl neck sweater is from Rue 21 got it for $5 on clearence. Just paired it with my $1 Walmart jeans and my Coach boots and I added some fun with my Panda tote.

Friday: 3/7/14

Today my hair wanted to be big and curly so I wanted a more Bohemian look.

I found this sweater on clearence at Ross for $3.99 and it is by VivienneTam! Wore it with my $5 Rue 21 boot cut jeans and some burgandy target flats.

Added my Laural Birch tapastry bag for some color!

I am running out of winter clothes so I am hoping it starts to get warmer soon!

Black Fox Beauty Supply Haul

I finally went!!! I have heard great things about this store for a while but I never got the chance to go and now I am mad that I waited so long. First of all the only "beauty supply" store I have ever been to is Sally's so this was like going to Candyland!!! They have everything! Wigs, hair and hair peices, cosmetics and eye lashes!

I really wanted a braided headband and this one was only $.99 cents!!

I also needed a new "chango" that is what I call those scrunchies made with hair. This is the quickest way to solve a bad hair day and I needed another one because mine was getting pretty dingy and this one was also only $.99 cents!

There was so much that I wanted but I was having a hard time deciding so I kept it simple and started with this braided bun at $7.99!  When I was getting married almost 12 years ago they had similar buns in the bridal shops for well over $20! This is such a great deal!

Not only do they have hair accessories but they had an amazing selection of cosmetics and nail products. I really could have gone crazy but I only picked up a few things. An eyeliner, two lip liners and a lipgloss they were $.99 cents each!   I am so satisfied with the quality if these products I have to go back for more!

I wanted a Barbie pink lip look and I think I found it!

I really wanted to get some eyelashes but there was too many to choose from and some were only $1.99! So I am defiantly going back with a list and more time.

Purple Week

Purple week started off great, Monday I wore my patterned gray jeans from target with a purple shirt and my grey pleather  jacket.

I got the pants on clearence for less than $7 and the purple long sleeve tunic for $3 at JCP. The motorcycle jacket is also from JCP I believe it was a splurge $19 but it was during the holidays 2 years ago and I had a coupon so I know I paid less!

I wore it with my thrifted boots from Candies I paid $.25 cents! The jewelry is a handme down necklace and I made the  earrings.

Tuesday was a fun day and I decided to wear this flirty skirt from Cato it was $5.99!
I paired it with a fascinator I also got at Cato for $1.99! The black long sleave shirt is from Mossimo from Target but I thrifted it for a quarter!

If there is a Cato in your area I would check it out. They have great sales and carry accessories, shoes, and plus sizes.

Unfortunately the rest of the week was a bust, the weather changed and I ended up working some overtime. So while I did wear purple each day by the time I got home I was exhausted and it wasn't cute so I didn't get to take pictures.

Next week I am hoping to do better!
